Phil Butler is an outdoor, sport and health enthusiast who picked up photography in February 2014. Phil has taught himself photography - no formal training, and is forever seeking to improve his end product. Finding your own style is part of the journey to self-expression - this is a journey everybody should be encouraged to travel, photography may well be a part of that journey. Photography is a good excuse to escape everyday stress and going on an adventure!

 

Phil is a qualified sports medic and massage therapist holding the degree Bachelor of Physical Education, from the University of Otago (graduate class of 2013) and a current student at Univsersity of Otago, Bachelor of Physiotherapy programme.

 

Phil is from Waimate, a small rural town in the South Island of New Zealand. His sister, Rachel holds a certificate in photography - much of the inspiration has come from her. Other inspirational photography peers include: Mike Gamble's Rain Water Pictures & Stuart MacKenzie.
